Backcountry cougar hunt Giant Tom comes into call

On the hunt I left the house at 2am, drove to the mountains, snowmobiled for 20 miles, then hiked for 12 miles to get to a spot I wanted to call for cougars. On the very first set a giant cougar came into the call. I started off with lost/distressed fawn calls then after a while switched to cougar vocalization calls. The big tom bedded down at 400 yards so I moved in for s closer shot. The shot was good. When I got down to him in the thicket he was still alive and needed a finishing shot. I built a fire and slept out for the night before the big (12 mile and 3200’ elevation) pack out the next morning. • https://www.catcalls.org
