The Leidenfrost Effect is a phenomenon in which a liquid when it contacts a significantly hot surface forms an insulating barrier between the liquid and the hot surface. In this case, I demonstrate the effect using a frying pan (at over 600' F) and water droplets. When I turn the range off, the Leidenfrost effect dissipates due to cooling and the water boils away normally. _ • _ • Like the Facebook page: / brian.mausolf • Follow me on Twitter: / mausolfb
