We interview our January 20, 2024 Arts Saturday performer, pianist/composer Ari Lurie. • Ari, a native of San Francisco, moved to Boston in 2010. He started playing piano in childhood. He plays mostly by ear, improvising as the Music progresses. He is the composer and performer of original piano compositions, represented on his CD, “The Awakening”. His music can be used for relaxation, contemplation, and meditation. “My music comes from the heart,” he states. • Before moving to Boston, he worked for many years in the San Francisco Bay Area creating, producing and performing musical programs. He specializes in performing music for Retirement Communities.
