BreezoMeter delivers the first real-time air quality data platform at street resolution: their mission is to improve the health and quality of life for billions of people worldwide, by providing accurate air quality data for consumers and businesses in a format as simple, intuitive, and actionable as weather data. • The company was cofounded by three Technion alumni - CEO Ran Korber (BSc in Environmental Engineering), CMO Ziv Lautman (BSc in Environmental Engineering, summa cum laude), and CTO Emil Fisher (BSc in Software Engineering). They started their activity at Technion in the context of BizTEC, the National Entrepreneurship Challenge. The team proceeded to win the competition in 2013. Their revolutionary app taps open-source big data to gather air quality and weather measurements, process the data, and send the usable location-based map of air-pollution levels straight to your smartphone, for free.
