Tiedye pattern Icy Heart

Today I am demonstrating how to tie-dye a Icy Heart pattern on a sweatshirt using the ice tie-dye method. This is a step by step tie dye tutorial where I cover the entire process starting with the drawing of the heart design onto the sweatshirt with a washable marker. From there I pleat fold the heart, and then use sinew to tie the heart of from the remainder of the sweatshirt. For the next step I proceed to scrunch and rubber band all of the remaining material. Next I apply the procion dye powders right on top of the sweatshirt, then soda ash and ice right on top of the dye powders. For the last few steps I first let the sweatshirt sit undisturbed for 24 hours, give it a good rinse to remove the soda ash and excess dye, and then jump right on into the reveal of our new tie dye icy heart sweatshirt.
