I already knew that it was comfortable and protected me after a few good bumps and falls but remained very curious about how much backside deformation it would allow in response to different calibers. • This helmet weighs in at 3.1lbs and is made of ARAMID • It is fully certified to NIJ-STD-0106.01 standards • Bottom line is, with good ballistic helmets being way over my budget, bang for your buck, this is a great helmet. I’m not really sure how much more I get, other than a small reduction in weight, from the much more expensive helmets.
