We recently visited Champa Nursery, which has many exotic fruit trees that are in good health, and is a very organized nursery. The employees there are so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. They helped us pick out the healthy plants, suggested which varieties to purchase, told us how to care for the plants, and gave us an idea of when the plants would be fruiting based on their maturity. While we were there, we saw the Strawberry tree. It is also known as cotton candy berry, Panama berry, and scientific name of Muntingia calabura. My husband and I had just watched a video in which someone was growing and describing how these cherry-sized berries taste like cotton candy, and he set out to get one of these trees. It would be a great tree for the kids to eat nature's candy off of, and the big guy is also a kid at heart. I couldn't say no. It also produces fruit prolifically when established. Find out more about this tree in this video. • Music by: • INOSSI - Far Away is under a Creative Commons (CC-BY 3.0) license • Music promoted by BreakingCopyright: https://bit.ly/b-far-away
