Safe Exam Browser Video Tutorial. • Safe Exam Browser Download Page: https://www.safeexambrowser.org/downl... • Please note: • 1. This tutorial is intended for Campion College students for installing the Safe Exam Browser on their own computer for e-testing on the school network. This is a BYOD (Bring your own device) install guide and it can also be used for installing similar setup at your school/institution. • 2. Windows users must install Firefox browser and Mac users should have Safari browser installed. • Step by step walk-through below: • This tutorial demonstrates how to install the Safe Exam Browser software and the configuration file. • First, you need to download the Safe Exam Browser software using any browser of your choice. Here we have Firefox and Google Chrome on the desktop, we will proceed using Google Chrome. • Launch your browser and go to www.google.com • Search for Safe Exam Browser • You will see multiple search results, click on the link that says Safe Exam Browser - News. This will take you to the safe exam browser website home page, which is www.safeexambrowser.org • When the webpage loads you will notice News is highlighted in blue on the left, click on the Download button below. • Now you will be taken to the download page on the right. You will see options to download Safe Exam Browser for different platforms: Windows, macOS and iOS. Windows download option is at the top and you can scroll down to download the Safe Exam Browser for other platforms. • There you have macOS and iOS. This is a Windows PC so we will download Safe Exam Browser for Windows by clicking on the blue icon. This will take us to another webpage. You will see the countdown for when the download begin. • If you're using Google Chrome you will see the download progress to the bottom left corner of the browser. • If you're using Mozilla Firefox you will be prompted with the download dialog, select Save File. At this point you will see the download progress in the top right corner of the browser. • When the download has completed, you may open the file or navigate to the downloads folder and open the file. • When you open the file, the setup wizard will run. • Click on Next • Then select I accept the license agreement, then select Next • then select Install • It will take a few seconds to install • When the installation is done click on Finish • Safe Exam Browser is now installed on your computer. • The next step is to install the configuration for Safe Exam Browser. The configuration file may have been sent to you by email or placed on the Renweb Moodle website. • You will need to look on your course page for the file. • Download the configuration file. • Navigate to the downloads folder and open the configuration file. The name of the configuration is SebClientSettings. • When you open the configuration file, Safe Exam Browser will launch and you will be prompted that New settings have been saved, they will be used when you start SEB next time again.
