Episode 2 of Coast to Canal with @Deecaffari and @floatingourboat. In this new narrowboat video Dee turns her hand to a bit of everyday canal boat maintenance dipping into the weed hatch before heading further along the Grand Union Canal tackling more swing bridges, bigger locks and even a tunnel. Find out how she got on and what her overall thoughts on narrowboating are in the concluding video of the series. • The series is a feel-good, reality TV show created for the enjoyment of the whole boating community, from the coast to the inland waterways, to share together the love of being afloat. It is a fly-on-the-wall documentary of Dee’s maiden voyage on the Grand Union Canal in Leicestershire, showing her leaving the tides and currents of the open sea for a completely new challenge involving staircase locks, winding holes and tunnels on the tranquil inland waterways of the UK. Whilst Dee is a hugely accomplished yachtswoman, she definitely relied on her hosts, Fran and Rich, for expert guidance and instruction along the way and to help her avoid some potentially embarrassing situations! Luckily, she couldn’t have asked for better, more patient teachers in Fran and Rich, who in 2018 swapped their life in Norfolk for a life continuously afloat exploring the inland waterways. • The first episode was launched at Crick Boat Show 2022 on the seminar stage to a full house and this episode completes the story.
