Here’s a dish that is a favourite snack for all Indians. Here’s simple tasty Batata Vada. • Its a famous Mumbai street food.. and loved by almost everyone. • • ingredients for vada filling: • 500 g potatoes(boiled and peeled) • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder • 1 tsp red chili powder • 1 tsp salt • 6-7 cloves of garlic • 3-4 green chili • 2 inch ginger • 3-4 tbsp coriander leaves • 1-2 tbsp oil • ingredients for batter: • 150 g gram flour • 3 tbsp semolina • 4 tbsp yogurt(optional) • 3 tbsp coriander leaves • 1 tsp red chili powder • 1 tsp salt • 1 tsp cumin powder • 1/2 tsp mango powder • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder • 1/4 tsp baking soda • • Method: • Add all the ingredients written above for batter into the gram flour • Add water little by little and make a batter. • It should be neither very runny nor very thick. • keep it aside. • Mash the potatoes and keep it aside. • Heat a pan add oil, add mustard seeds and asafotida. • Add coarse paste of garlic,ginger and green chili. • Add mashed potatoes, mix well, add all spices and green coriander, mix well. • cook it foe 2 min on medium high heat, turn off the flame and let it cool. • Make ball shape.(vada) • Dip the vadas in batter and pour it in hot oil. • fry them till they become nice golden in color, • serve them with green chutney or tomato sauce. • like us on: • Blog : https://cookwithlubnablog.wordpress.com • Facebook: / cookwithlubna • Twitter: / cookwithlubna • YouTube:// / cookwithlubna
