This is my first ever terrarium aka mini forest! I have kept in mind the basics of terrarium making while building this so that people who are not in this hobby can easily make one. 🪴 • I have made a drainage layer (for excess water) so that the roots of the plants do not rot. I have used LECA (Lightweight expanded clay aggregate) balls but you can use any gravel or stones of similar size. A net barrier is needed to separate the substrate from the drainage layer and for that, I used a cutout from a mosquito net, you can use any similar material with small holes.🫡 • The substrate mix is:🔬 • 1/2 part activated carbon/charcoal • 1 part sand • 2 part coco peat • 1 part orchid bark/coco chips • 1 part aquarium soil/vermicompost • 1 part sphagnum moss • The plants are: 🌱 • Creeping Inch Plant • Hydrocotyle Japan • Philodendron Micans • Cryptanthus Pink • Sword Fern • Thanks for reading it till here.
