The Basin White Mountains New Hampshire 2023

This is one of our favorite little nature trails in the White Mountain National Forest area! The trail crisscrosses and walks along side of the Pemigewasset River, with small falls, flumes, and a giant pothole known as “the basin”. The trail is easy, short, picturesque, and absolutely magical. It’s actually part of Franconia Notch State Park! The National Forest and NH state parks seem to overlap a lot in this area, and one is not better than the other here. Both of these entities hold endless possibilities of so many trails and falls to explore throughout the white mountains.
