In this review, I'm going to take a look at another beer from Brasserie d'Achouffe, and it's their Houblon Chouffe. This is a Belgian IPA that is brewed with Tomahawk, Saaz and Amarillo hops. Full disclosure, the Belgian IPA style is not one of my favorites, but I still enjoy trying and revisiting beers within the style to see if my palate has changed at all. It's been a long time since I last had this one, so I'm super curious to see what I think about it nowadays. Let's find out! • Commercial Description: • The gnomes of Fairyland may be little, but they have big, very big, personalities. HOUBLON CHOUFFE matches their impish spirits. All gnomes, with their innate good taste, are in full agreement about HOUBLON CHOUFFE, which is flavoured by three different types of hops. This India Pale Ale is appreciated for its pronounced bitterness combined with the fruity tones of traditional Achouffe beers: it softens the strongest of characters. • Pertinent Information: • Brewery - Brasserie d'Achouffe (Achouffe, Wallonie, Belgium) • Beer - Houblon Chouffe • Style - Belgian IPA • ABV - 9.0% • IBU - 47 • Bottled On Date - Best Before October 2023 (Relatively fresh at the time of review) • Social Media Contacts: • Untappd • https://untappd.com/user/averagejoe716 • Twitter • / averagejoe716 • Instagram • / the_beer_patroll • Thanks for watching!
