Digital signatures of JAR files are an element of cryptographic standards, assuring the user that the drivers are authentic and have not been modified or tampered with. Beginning in 4.9, the default module verification mode is increased to medium, requiring all JAR files to have a security certificate added to the User Trust Store. • Niagara Framework® includes Tridium certificate, though not third-party vendors. In this video, we will show you what happens when commissioning a building automation controller without their security certificate, how to add the certificate, and what can be done if you do not have the certificate. Note that if you do not have the certificate, you will need to inform stakeholders that the cryptographic exception we will be discussing in this video has been made until you obtain the vendor certificate. As an example, we will be commissioning a JENEsys® Edge™ controller. • ---- • Lynxspring provides scalable smart building and facility environment solutions that monitor and control various energy management systems and intelligent equipment.
