These are the top stories for today's Konkani Prime Bulletin:- • 1- The Mardol police have registered an FIR against accused Pooja Naik resident of Old Goa, for allegedly abetting Shridhar Satarkar @ Kerkar to commit suicide. • The FIR has been registered after Shridhar's wife filed a complaint with the police. On the other hand Ponda police have arrested Sagar Naik for again allegedly cheating a Sanvordem resident to tune of Rs 10 lakhs on pretext of providing government job. Police say during interrogation Naik disclosed the involvement of co-accused Deepashree Gawas in the case. • Meanwhile, Ponda JMFC Court has demanded Deepashree Gawas to 2 days of police custody. • • 2- Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that Illegal houses will not be entitled for electricity and water connection. Sawant said that High Court has already given its order, based on which, government has also come out with circular. • • 3-Residents in PT Sheet No. I Chalta No. 10/3 and PT Sheet No. 2 Chalta No. 11/1 in Village Cuchelim, Mapusa, who are accused of constructing unlawful structures on Government Land have been given notices to leave. Informing the residents that a demolition squad has been called in to demolish the buildings and illegal constructions, Kabir Shirgaonkar, Dy Collector SDM DSO-I, Mapusa, issued an order yesterday directing the residents to leave the buildings right away in order to make demolition work easier. • • 4-United Tribal Association Alliance (UTAA) President Prakash Velip has appealed to the state government to declare a holiday on Birsa Munda's Jayanti also known as Tribal Pride Day. • Minister Govind Gaude informed that as UTTA completes 20 years on 6th October, UTTA will host the Dvidshakpurti Sohala on 10th November at 3 PM. • • 5-Fisheries Minister Nilkanth Harlankar has informed that strict action is being taken against Malpe boats for illegal fishing within Goan waters. • The minister said that local fishermen are also supporting them in taking action. • GPCC President Amit Patkar had alleged that the Fisheries department was hand in gloves with non-Goan fishermen. • • 6- The Supreme Court in a landmark verdict delivered on Tuesday has held that “Not all privately owned properties qualify as community resources that the State can take over for the common good.” • The nine-judge Constitution bench led by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud delivered the judgment on the vexed issue with an 8-1 majority. CJI Chandrachud pronounced that the phrase material resources of the community may include privately owned resources....Not every resource owned by an individual can be considered a material resource of the community merely because it meets the qualifier of material needs. • 7- Goa is India’s second richest State, after Sikkim, measured in terms of per capita income, which has doubled in the last five decades.
