The penultimate day of the 2024 49er 49erFX Skiff World Championships in Lanzarote, Canary Islands. The fleets have three Gold fleet races scheduled, and the breeze is very strong. Also in contention are 2023 World Champions Bart Lambriex with Floris van der Werken of the Netherlands, who aim to claim their fourth straight World Championship. The 2022 European Champions of Spain, Diego Botin and Florian Trittel are also in the mix. • In the 49erFX it is a two-way battle for the gold. Odile Van Aanholt with Annette Duetez of the Netherlands hold a strong lead by they are trying to fend off Vilma Bobeck and Rebecca Netzler of Sweden, who won the 2023 World Championship.
