This bird is more often heard than seen but it is common. It inhabits thickets and brush, residential areas, gardens. It is a slate-gray robin-sized bird with a black cap. Its long black tail, with inconspicuous rust color underneath, is often cocked. Although skulking habit makes it difficult to see, it is easily identified by its voice.
