Wiltons Buttercream Icing Recipe

This is my go-to buttercream recipe when icing cakes or cupcakes. You can adjust the consistency by adding more milk to make it creamier and more spreadable. • Wilton Buttercream Icing Recipe: • • ½ cup vegetable shortening • • ½ cup of butter • • 1 tsp vanilla extract • • 2 tablespoons milk • • 4 cups powdered sugar • • In large bowl, beat shortening and butter with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. • Gradually add sugar, one cup at a time, beating well on medium speed. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl often.
