Welcome to a quick video from http://www.lpgadapter.com • In this video I will show you how to use our POL type bottle refilling adapter to refill propane bottle. • We strongly recommend use of Personal Protective Equipment for safety. Use safety glasses and temperature resistant gloves when refilling any gas bottles as LPG can cause freeze burns when in contact with skin. • A 30mm spanner or similar gripping device will be required to tighten and loosen the adapter. • In the envelope you will receive 2 flyers, both of them are with other products that we have selected that should be of interest to you and are available through our online shop. • From LPGCLEANER.COM there are IC12 and ICV propane fuel additives please visit the site for full details. • From LPGGPL.COM and LPGADAPTER.com you will find a list of other adapters for different types of bottles and autogas refilling. • 1. Removing the valve from packaging, you will notice 3 pieces. • The POL type bottle adapter. • The one way safety valve unit, identifiable by a visible ball in the centre • The Bayonet type adapter unit. • 2. Assembling of the unit is very simple, take the one way valve and screw that in to the POL adapter noting the ‘O’ ring being present, tighten hand tight, followed by screwing of the bayonet adapter in to the one way valve, again take note that the ‘O’ ring is present, tighten hand tight. • 3. Start by dressing in PPE, gloves and glasses. • 4. !!!ALWAYS!!! make sure the bottle is empty, check that by opening the manual valve. If there is LPG escaping, a hissing noise, we recommend not to refill the bottle, as there is no way a level of remaining fuel can be established without more equipment. • 5. With the POL unit assembled and tight, screw the adapter in, remember it is a reverse thread type fitting, so to screw IN is anti-clockwise. • 6. Finally tighten the valve with the 30mm spanner • This bottle adapter is fitted with Bayonet type fitting and will only fit bayonet type autogas filling guns. For other adapters that are compatible with our kits, please visit our website www.lpgadapter.com. • 7. Align the gun so that it fits the bayonet twist and lock with lever. • 8. Open the manual valve on the bottle. • 9. Begin filling. • There will be a noise of gas whooshing in, that’s normal. • Keep looking for any leaks, if spotted shut down the pump and manual valve and retighten connections. • This is a 13.4kg bottle so the filling volume can be calculated with simple equation. • Fv=(Bw x 2)-20% • Fv – Filling Volume • Bw – bottle volume in Kg • Fv = (13.4x2)-20% • Fv = 26.8-20% • Fv = 21.44Litres • This equation applies to all size propane bottles and only the Bv is a variable. • 10. When desired level is reached shut the pump off. • 11. To disconnect, do so in following order. • 12. First close the manual valve on the bottle. • 13. Release the lever to disengage the gun, there will be small LPG discharge, that is normal. • 14. Remove the gun. • 15. Loosen and unscrew adapter from the bottle. There will be small LPG discharge, that is normal. • 16. Refit the blanking safety plug. • This is how to refill a POL valved Propane bottles. • The kits are available with variety of adapters depending on a country where refilling takes place, please visit www.lpgadapter.com for more information and other products. • Thank you for watching and don’t forget to subscribe to our channel.
