2007 Chrysler 300 35 V6 P1004 P2017 part 1

Chasing codes p1004 short runner valve control performance and a p2017 intake manifold runner position sensor/switch circuit high...went through the normal checks..bought a new actuator..200.00 dollars..now it takes 5 seconds of running the engine to set a code..before was instant..read everywhere and sent it to the dealer for a pcm flash update..didn't work..gave the dealer 2 hours time to check the wiring from sensors to pcm for a short or ground..non found..443.00 later..it needs an intake manifold..dealer wants 1,008.00 dollars..online ranges from 750.00 to 998.00..plus shipping..I decided to remove it and see what goes on inside..seems like the oil sludge enters the intake and gums up the flappers and shaft..I'm gonna try and clean it all and reinstall to see if it works..I don't see why not..will get back to ya in a part 2 if the surgery goes well...Enjoy.. • S4E62 • Visit my Store for cool Merchandise • https://teespring.com/stores/cuda-garage
