The beautiful ruin of Curraghchase House is situated in an area of tranquility amongst mature woodland. An earlier house was built here in 1657 by Vere Hunt, but the house we see today was completed in 1760. The famous poet Aubrey de Vere was born here and spent most of his life residing at the estate.
