UL System W-L-4079 is a through-penetration firestop system for a 1 or 2 hour gypsum wallboard/stud assembly with a cable tray penetrant. • This system is used by Electrical subcontractor trades when the have a cable tray (36” x 4” max) with a variety of cable types and sizes such as PVC jacketed copper, fiber optic, metal clad for example. • The system is completed by installing Specified Technologies Inc.’s SpecSeal Firestop Pillows lengthwise through the opening and tightly packing them into the opening to fill the annular space between cables and the periphery.
