Thank you to all the support from Centennial Airport, Aurora PoliceDepartment, Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, South Metro Fire Rescue, Elk Creek Fire Department, Inter Canyon Fire Department, additional Law Enforcement, Fire, American Legion Riders, Patriot Guard Riders, and the community members who came out to honor Major Lewis and his family. • Major Tobin Toby Lewis was born and raised in Conifer, Colorado and will be making his final journey home this Thursday to be laid to rest in his home state. • The Marine V-22B Osprey with 23 Marines on board including Major Lewis crashed Sunday, August 27, 2023, in tropical forest on Melville Island while taking part in Exercise Predators Run, a drill that includes the militaries of Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines and East Timor. • He was designated a Naval Aviator in 2012 after completing advanced flight training in Corpus Christi, Texas.
