This is one of the largest Southern Pacific Rattlesnakes I've seen. An absolutely beautiful creature. This is also one of the most pissed-off rattlesnakes I've seen. He was stretched out, sunning himself as I rode up on my mountain bike. I stopped as soon as I saw him, but he was not happy (beautiful day, annoying interruption) .
