This recipe is a second recipe from the series of 3 recipes from Russian cuisine. This traditional Russian pelmeni (meat dumplings) recipe might be something that is very familiar for many of you who have eaten in Russian restaurants or with a Russian family. I like to make a big batch of pelmeni in the winter and freeze them as they are a great meal on busy days🤗 • THE RECIPE • 3 cups of flour • 2 eggs • 1 can of soured cream (about 200g) • salt (1-2 tsp) • 500g minced meat • 1-2 onions processed in food processor (I left this out) • salt • pepper • You will need a dumpling maker or a cookie cutter/glass with about 6cm diameter. • Preparation instructions in the video. • Boil the frozen pelmeni in hot water with some salt, black peppercorns and laurel leaves. Boil until they all come up on the water surface (I usually boil for about 15 minutes). Enjoy warm with sour cream or butter.
