It made an audible sound but the blades were not spinning. I powered it on and off using the power switch but it continued to make the same sound. I then unplugged the garbage disposal's power plug and plugged back in. After doing so, there was no sound at all. I assumed that the garbage disposal was dead and would need to be replaced but after performing additional research, I found the fix! I've explained how I fixed my garbage disposal within this video.
