Brayden Martino and his brave team of meme-analyzers and artists-with-nothing-better-to-do asked themselves these very questions before creating what would become a full-length musical parody of this memed cult classic. Complete with 18 original songs, new characters and storylines, and an alternate ending that tries to make sense of it all— this musical takes audiences into territory where no musical has gone before. • • ‘Ya Like Jazz? A Bee Musical’ premiered live in August 2018 with public acclaim and passionate audience interaction. After an ironic mishap (involving a bee sting, a Patrick Warburton lookalike, and a broken hard drive), the footage of the film was lost, and its online release was canceled. By some miracle of Bee-Jesus, the footage has been recovered two years later and the absurdity of “Ya Like Jazz?” can be experienced once again; this time on the screen of the Frida Cinema.
