How does Enoxaparin (Lovenox) Work? Enoxaparin is an anticoagulant medication that promotes antithrombin 3 to block clotting factors 2 (thrombin) and X (Ten). It is a low molecular weight heparin. • Enoxaparin is an anticoagulant, brand name: Lovenox. We also talk about Dalteparin (Fragmin) which is also a low molecular weight heparin. This is used to treat and prevent blood clots from forming which may lead to heart attack and stroke patients.
