I enjoy camping and when in a campground, I like having a protected area by my vehicle to prepare meals, relax, etc. I needed something that didn't take up much room when stored away. I found that using a simple tarp and adjustable poles was the answer for me. The Redcamp poles I purchased was different from other adjustable poles in that it wasn't a telescoping pole and it wasn't just a shock corded pole....it was both.
