Hello there. In this video, we show you the endotracheal intubation technique in a cat and you should know some tips about it. First, it is mandatory to achieve an adequate stage of anaesthesia, avoiding laryngeal reflex, once the intubation could stimulate it, leading laryngospasm. A bit different from the dog technique, in the cat we should use laryngoscope with the light on to make easy the intubation, and spray lidocaine as well, to desensitise that region. Wacht out not to spray a lot, avoiding intoxication! It is a good idea to use a kind of rigid guide (metal or plastic) inside the tube. It will facilitate the technique. • 👍 LIKE THIS VIDEO?
