The main purpose is to trigger fills in between patterns. The other use is to rapidly fill in the beats of a pad based on your current quantize setting. • If you are in compose mode and hit play, you can hold down a drum pad and the Fill button at the same time and it will rapidly play the pad based on your quantize setting. But the key is to press the desired drum pad before you hit play.
