Motorcycle Tour Croatia Neretva Valley, Opuzen with BMW R1200GS LC. • Second day of my Motorcycle Tour Croatia I've started by exploring area around small and charming place called Opuzen, city is geographically placed in between Dubrovnik and Split. Opuzen is a small city of just 2000 permanent residents, but it's also a city that has a lot to offer to one adventurer like myself. • My Motorcycle Tour Croatia - Opuzen journey starts with morning ride in small traditional boat and by exploring pretty unique ecosystem of channels formed by river Neretva. This artificial ecosystem of channels was actually made by humans during 1950's and 1960's and the reason behind is, to keep surrounding agricultural fields desalted and fertile. • If you're passing though Opuzen or Neretva Valley I highly recommend spending couple of hours adventuring on river Neretva in Opuzen. This is tourist attraction many local companies provide. To find out more about Neretva safari just Google: Safari Neretva Opuzen . • On my return I'll continue exploring hidden gems of this unique and interesting place by visiting local beach and surrounding nature, before I hit the dirt road in one of the biggest agricultural field in Croatia. • After exploring local beach in Opuzen city and enjoying in pleasant weather and magnificent scenery full of viewpoints, it's time to get my horse ready for some dust. • I'll drive on 10.000m2 free of asphalt, surrounded mostly with oranges, peaches, apples and other types of fruits and vegetables. • After couple of hours in dirt and mud I'll go back to civilization and visit some of my good friends. They invided me on pretty special dinner, so tonight I'll be easting... Frogs, yes, you heard right, frogs. They are speciality here in Neretva valley along with local version of eels and similar types of, for me strange fishies. • But eating frogs is not bad as it sounds, actually frogs are pretty nice to eat and once you overcame the fact you're eating frogs, they taste delicious. I'd compare them with chicken. If you find yourself in South Croatia, get that adventure spirit up and don't miss opportunity to eat some crazy food, you won't be disappointed. • My time in Opuzen is sadly limited.
