Finished up this 60x80 pole barn home (barndo) by a construction crew of five that finished exterior in 5 days. Quality is more important than speed but with the right equipment, skill level, and work ethic post frame homes can be completed on a timely basis. • Our pole barn manager had the wainscot angle precisely bent to give more clearance for the vinyl decorative wainscot. • The vinyl wainscot came with a built in J-channel for application on this pole home. Less costly than versetta stone this vinyl wainscot provides the decorative brick/block look that matches the barn’s sidewall steel. • Utilized green gard posts on the open porch to provide for vinyl wraps. On the rest of the post frane home concrete perma columns were utilized for foundational support. It all comes down to budget, concrete perma-columns are a fraction of the cost of pouring a foundation wall and will protect your pole barn home (posts)from rot. Both applications have their use case depending on budget and cash flow.
