The movie shows scenes from a steam train excursion undertaken in June 2001 on the D SNG between Durango and Silverton. The train runs on former D RGW trackage on the so-called high line high above the Animas River towards Silverton. In Silverton, riders have sufficient time to exlore the former mining town while the train is turned and prepared for the trip back to Durango. The train on this day was pulled by K-28 #478
