SINGLE OR BACKWARDS LOOP CAST ON • This cast on method only needs one yarn strand to work. Place slip knot on the knitting needle and pull tight. Wrap the working yarn that is still attached to the yarn ball, around your thumb. This will make a loop on the thumb. Place the needle through this loop, remove thumb, and slide the loop on to the knitting needle. Repeat the steps from after placing the slip knot on the knitting needles. As you knit these stitches, the yarn will get looser and looser. If this does happen you can also move up the stitches and pull the slip knot so that it becomes untied and drop the excess at the end. Its best thought to use this for short knitting projects as the excess yarn can cause tension issues in the stitches. • For more Lone Gems Patterns visit https://linkin.bio/lonegems
