This is our follow-up video where we take the cast iron weights we painted with Corroseal Rust Converter and apply black Rustoleum as a topcoat. • Overall, the results were ok. It is vital that you don't let whatever you're painting sit in pooled up Rustoleum on cardboard. The paint did not dry properly on these spots and has not adhered to the weights very well. This is not a fault of Corroseal nor Rustoleum: We're just inexperienced painters who need a better setup for painting. • We still recommend Corroseal as well as Rustoleum. • We do provide you with some examples of what happens when you use water-based latex paint over Corroseal. It does not adhere well at all. The Corroseal will remain, but the water-based paint will flake off within a week or two. • If you decide Corroseal will work for you like it did us, you can get a gallon of using my Amazon affiliate link (https://amzn.to/39OlibZ) or it is sold at most major hardware stores. • In the interest of full disclosure, I paid this product with my own funds and no one reviewed or approved this content before it was posted.
