Julie Newmar is a beloved television actress that rose to fame via her portrayal of the character Catwoman on the classic 1966 CBS action series Batman. Samantha’s mother hires an old shape-shifting colleague, played by Julie. True to the show’s on-the-nose sense of humor, the character’s trademark magical ability is that she can turn into a cat. The character attempts to seduce Darrin, but Darrin relents. Eventually, Samantha uncovers the plot, as well as her mother’s involvement. • After appearing on Bewitched, Julie took a break from acting to design her own line of pantyhose and brassieres. After this successful venture, she returned to college to study real estate. This venture proved equally successful. Today, the beloved icon is 87 years old.
