If you would like to support the channel and my work, please consider becoming a channel member: / @wrestlingbios • When it comes to moments in wrestling that are remembered for all the wrong reasons, the debut of WCW's Yeti instantly comes to mind. • World Championship Wrestling brought Halloween Havoc 1995 to audiences via pay per view, and the main event would feature Hulk Hogan defending his WCW championship against The Giant. The Giant had aligned himself with The Dungeon of Doom stable in WCW, and to ensure The Giant had an upperhand against Hogan, an insurance policy was introduced to help the Son of Andre . This insurance policy was the Yeti, a new character in WCW who broke out from a block of ice. The Yeti, however, was quite odd. Not only did the Yeti look like a mummy, but he was also referred to as the Yettay by Tony Schiavone on commentary.
