It was now or never for a once in a lifetime chance to summit At 215am at 8200 meters, an inexperienced member of the rope fixing team, 27 year old Pakistani porter Muhammed Hassan, married and father of three, with no high altitude experience or proper equipment, took a 5 meter fall, landing upside down below the fixed lines. • Tenjen Lama Sherpa and Kristin Harila stopped immediately to render aid to Hassan, as more than 100 climbers approached below them.
