Sudoku is very popular as game apps, so perhaps the term is more popularised than Magic Square . • It's interesting to note that the numbers 1 to 9 only appear once in a Magic Square. The point of a magic square is to arrange each number from one to nine in such a way that the sum of each row, coloumn and diagonal is the same. And it seems that with the numbers 1 to 9, the sum is always 15 ! • You have 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9=45. In a magic square you have to add 3 numbers again and again. Therefore the average sum of three numbers is 45:3=15.
