Cremona, Italy, is a city with a very special (and very musical) history. It’s a city of master craftsmen who specialize in one thing—violins. Since the mid-16th century, Cremona has lived and breathed violins. The northern Italian city is credited as the birthplace of the string instrument and remains home to Stradivari, maker of some of the world’s most coveted and expensive violins.
