This lecture is about Chemical Energy and different examples of chemical energy. • Q: What is chemical energy? • Ans: The energy found between atoms or among atoms due to a chemical bond is known as chemical energy. • Chemical energy comes into existence due to bond formation between two atoms or among atoms. • For example, in a single molecule of water, there exist chemical energy. The reason is that water is made up of two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen. There is chemical bond between the oxygen atom and hydrogen atoms in a single molecule of water.
