As for cereal commercials, well during the 1960s and into the 80's, he was the guy making cereal commercials so fun, producing animated cereal specials for General Mills and, even more for Quaker Oats. The character of Quisp, a space alien, was voiced by Daws Butler. • He voiced hundreds of famous characters. Huckleberry Hound, Elroy Jetson, Snagglepuss and so many others. • He even voiced Scooby-Doo for a while in the late '70s, he did Barney Rubble in several Flinstones episodes and Fred Flinstone in the pilot. • As for cereal, well, he was Cap'n Crunch. Quake appears briefly in this commercial as well. • He was voiced by William Conrad, famous as Marshal Matt Dillon on the radio version of Gunsmoke, but you may know him better as the narrator of The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. • Daws Butler did a lot of voicing for Rocky and Bullwinkle as well.
