I was working at my first job as a hairstylist at a Hair Salon in Portland, Oregon. I'll never forget the day, when I got a call from my doctor's office, urging me to go see them immediately, test results from my yearly checkup showed blood sugar levels through the roof! I was told I could go into a Diabetic Coma at any time. I remember this being on a Friday and I decided to go see the doctor on the following Monday (not to smart on my part). The following Monday, I was given the “official diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes. That’s when I decided to change my life FOREVER! I changed my diet, eliminating processed foods, bad carbs, dairy, white sugar plus cooking all my meals at home (I love to cook). I joined a gym and started working out on a low impact exercise routine. I was able to lose around 30 pounds by the end of 2017. However, the trade-off was not what I expected. My body at 56 was not ready for such a weight loss and the results were a healthy me, with an old” man's face! I cried every time I saw my reflection in the mirror. You may call this vanity, and yes it is. Understand that I've never felt beautiful or “ fabulous,” I've been overweight my whole life, I was never a self-confident individual, and I always hid behind the curtains, afraid of people’s judgments. • Please join me on my journey through my Facelift performed at the Bensimon Center in Portland Oregon, by Dr. Bensimon himself. The surgery took place on the day before my 57th birthday on February 26, 2018. • My advice to you darling, don't change to please anyone, do it for yourself because you it’s all that matters.
