She has a fairly easy time getting into and out of the car seat on her own, but its easy enough to lift her out if needed. I would guess a medium sized dog up to 40-45 lbs could fit comfortable into this pet seat. This seat is 18 inches wide by 13 inches deep and 16 inches tall (18 wide x 13 deep x 16 tall). Its available in grey or tan. The Large seat comes with two adjustable leashes and the small size (16x16x16) comes with one leash. • Having a reliable and safe car seat for your pet is very important. Our dog has once before jumped out of the window of our moving vehicle trying to chase a small animal. Fortunately she only sustained a small cut as we were traveling less than 15 mph, but its a very scary situation to have happen unexpectedly. It's also important to have your pet secured in a seat if in the event an accident occurs, which can send a pet inside a vehicle hurdling around the inside of the vehicle potentially injuring occupants and itself. • Overall an excellent choice for safety and comfort for the price. It provides a higher sitting position for your dog or cat to allow easy window viewing. The integrated D-ring on the main seat under the cushion allows for using a harness or pet safety belt to secure your dog or cat within the seat itself. The Pet Bucket Booster Seat is secured into your vehicle using the seat belt's in your car by pushing the belt through the two holes on either side of the Booster Seat's bottom rear. Its very easy to remove and put the booster seat in, which is nice when you are constantly needing to remove it. • The outer exterior is a durable woven nylon to prevent rips, tears, stains, or pet hair build up. Its also fairly good at repelling water and mud. The rest of the booster seat on the inside area and the 3 inch thick removable seat cushion has a nice soft fleece feel, but is also somewhat water and mud resistant. The small cushion has a waterproof liner on the bottom and a removable inner foam cushion which can be machine washed for easy cleaning. The outer body of the bucket booster pet seat is formed using a hard foam, which can bend and flex without breaking, yet keeps a very firm shape for the seat itself. This interior hard foam body is not machine washable, but can be cleaned by wiping down with a cloth or vacuumed. Not much dirt, pet hair, or smells penetrate the main body's nylon exterior, so cleaning usually means removing the exterior nylon cover via the zipper along the middle backside, and machine washing on cold with a no-heat tumble dry. • The K H Pet Car Seat is not only an excellent choice for safety, ease of use, and for cleaning, but also the excellent budget price!
