This banjo is one of my main 2020 highlights for sure. If you do a search on here for a Tokai T1200R you may be lucky to find one additional video, but thats about it. This is simply a 1981 Gold Star GF100FE with the house brand still on it. But the thing that makes this axe way cool is its former owner. This was one of Ben Eldridge's main travel banjos from the early 80's when he wasn't using his style 6 known as Harvey (seen on this channel last November). So if you're a fan of the Seldom Scene like I am, there is a good chance you saw him put his magic touch on this banjo at a show somewhere down the line. The other thing that makes this banjo so special is the last man to set it up for Ben was Snuffy Smith. So for those reasons this Tokai will always remain just as you see it. • I had this classic Crowe tune stuck in my head all day, so I hope you enjoy Runaround on this tremendous banjo.
