At first, when he heard the dog crying for help, he thought its owners would come back by evening to take care of it. However, he was completely wrong. Three days later, the dog was still trapped there, all alone and growing weaker from starvation and dehydration. After realizing how bad the situation was, the man quickly called the police, and asked nearby neighbors for help. But at that time, all they could do was give the dog some food and water, just enough to keep it alive. • To everyone’s surprise, when the police contacted the owners, they said they were still on vacation and couldn’t return in time, but they promised to send someone immediately to help the dog. Then the next day, the owners did send someone to look after their dog, even though they could have done so much sooner.
