How to make a ginger extract organic pesticide

Preparation of Ginger Extract (Biopesticide) • Ginger is a plant that has many benefits. Not only to maintain the health of the human body, ginger can also be used as an organic pesticide. Ginger rhizome (Zingiber officinale) is one of the plant sources of pesticides (vegetable pesticides) that can be used for thrips pest control because it contains zingerone ketone compounds that have a spicy taste, causing the insect body to feel hot, fever, and die. This natural pesticide can also control other pests such as nematodes, anthracnose, caterpillars, grasshoppers, aphids, armyworm, fruit and shoot borer, leafminer, and whiteflies. • Materials/Ingredients Needed: • 25 grams ginger • 1.5 liters water • 10 ml or 1 tbsp. liquid dishwashing soap • Bottle with cover • knife • grater • strainer/clean fine cloth • Preparation Procedure: • Step 1: Crush or chop ginger into small pieces to properly extract the juice. • Step 2: In 1.5 liters of clean water, add 10 ml of dishwashing soap and the crushed ginger • Step 3: Stir until the water, liquid dishwashing soap, and ginger blend together and let it settle for a day. • Step 4: After one day, strain the solution and put it into the spray bottle. Then, this natural pesticide is ready to use. • Application: • 1.) In 16 liters water or 1 knapsack sprayer, add 2 cans (sardines size) of ginger extract. • 2.)
