Vetprofen is indicated for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis and for the control of postoperative pain associated with soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries in dogs. • Vetprofen contains carprofen, the most widely used and clinically proven NSAID in veterinary medicine. Carprofen, like other NSAIDs, works by blocking the production of prostaglandins, the body chemicals that cause inflammation. • Once-daily dosing provides 24 hours of relief from osteoarthritic or post-surgical pain. • DOSING AND TREATMENT: • Once-daily dosing provides 24 hours of relief from osteoarthritic or post-surgical pain. Vetprofen may be given 2 hours prior to surgery and for several days after to provide sustained post-surgical relief.
