It turns out that Disney often copied and recreated the same sequences for different movies. In the past, when animation was completely hand drawn it was an extremely time-consuming and expensive process. So to stay on schedule and on budget, animators would dig up scenes from past Disney animated movies that could work for the film they were currently making. They would trace over the old animation, a process called rotoscoping, leading many Disney films to have practically identical sequences. • In this video, we’ll show you some examples.
